The LIFE BIOGASNET project has been presented during the webinar “LIFE 30: Gathering Successful Ongoing & Former Projects on Circular Economy”, hosted by the LIFE ECO Digestion 2.0 project in collaboration with Finnova Foundation, in the context of the EU Green Week on May 31st.
Xavier Gamisans, LIFE BIOGASNET project coordinator and professor at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), has participated in the session “LIFE projects panel”, giving a general overview about the project and explaining its specific objectives, as well as the technology for biogas desulphurisation coupling a nitrification bioreactor with either an anoxic gas-phase biotrickling filter or an anoxic bioscrubber.
On the other hand, representatives from LIFE ECO Digestion 2.0, LIFE 3E and LIFE Infusion have participated also in the session to present the main work done and results achieved within the projects.
This webinar has been organised for celebrating the 30 years of the LIFE programme of the European Union, boosting projects working towards environment and climate action. The event has also presented the benefits of the programme, and alliances for the development of future projects were searched.
The LIFE ECO Digestion 2.0 project is scaling the technology for the production of biogas on demand with WWTP sludge, using agri-food waste and slurry as a co-substrate.
