The LIFE BIOGASNET project was presented during the 16th edition of the International Bioenergy Congress celebrated in parallel with the III Renewable Gas Exhibition from 3rd – 4th of October in Valladolid, Spain.
During the congress, project partners presented the poster titled “A novel technology for efficient biogas desulfurization: the LIFE BIOGASNET project”, which details the project’s solution based on a new cost-effective and environmentally friendly technology for biogas desulfurization to obtain a high quality biogas and final valuable by-products.
The poster was produced by partners from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), the project’s coordinator, in collaboration with Eurecat, the University of Cádiz (UCA), the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Bioreciclaje de Cádiz and AERIS.

The LIFE BIOGASNET project focuses on the promotion of renewable energies production through the circular economy concept, reducing waste generation and carbon footprint of the desulfurization process, and producing secondary raw materials such as elemental sulphur and ammonium sulphate.
The International Bioenergy Congress, organised under the title “The key moment to accelerate the start-up of biogas and biomethane production plants in Spain”, had the objective to address all the necessary aspects of the biogas and biomethane sector.
