The LIFE BIOGASNET project was presented during the 10th International Conference on Sustainable Solid Waste Management taking place from 21st – 24th of June in Chania, Creete (Greece).
During the conference, partners from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) displayed project’s flyers to all attendees and showcased the general rollup of the project, introducing LIFE BIOGASNET as one of its key projects funded under the LIFE Programme of the European Commission.
In addition, Sandra Torres Herrera, project partner and PhD student at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Food Technology University of Cádiz (UCA), delivered the presentation “Biogenic sulfur flocculation from pilot bioscrubber from landfill biogas desulfurisation”, which is based on the research done as part of the LIFE BIOGASNET and some of the results achieved.
The conference, focused mainly on modern solid waste technologies, provided an opportunity to bring together scientists and professionals from government departments, industries, municipalities, private institutions, research and education institutions to discuss and exchange of the most recent ideas, techniques and experiences in different areas of solid waste management.
