The LIFE BIOGASNET project was presented during the first webinar of the LIFE INFUSION project titled “Circular solutions for waste and wastewater management” and celebrated last April 6th.
The webinar had the objective to share innovative solutions and technologies for waste treatment and recovery, as well as to discuss about the importance of the circular economy concept for a more sustainable waste treatment.
Xavier Gamisans, the project’s coordinator from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), participated in the webinar and presented the LIFE BIOGASNET project under the title “LIFE BIOGASNET: a new technology introducing circular bioeconomy in biogas desulfurization”. The presentation included a general overview about the project and its objectives, a brief explanation of the technology developed, and some of the main results achieved during this first period of the project.
The webinar also included the presentation of other three European projects funded under the LIFE Programme: LIFE ECOdigestion 2.0, LIFE Zero Waste Water and LIFE INFUSION.
The LIFE INFUSION project, which hosted the webinar, is working to demonstrate a resource recovery-based innovative treatment scheme to obtain biogas, nutrients, and reclaimed water from both landfill leachate and liquid digestate from organic fraction municipal solid waste.
