Xavier Gamisans, professor from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and LIFE BIOGASNET project’s coordinator, participated in the webinar “Energy transition for Europe – Tools and Tips by LIFE ECODIGESTION 2.0” celebrated on May 17th, 2023.
The webinar, organised by the LIFE ECODIGESTION 2.0 project and the Finnova Foundation under the framework of the EU Sustainable Energy Week, brought together experts and representatives of different European projects with the objective to showcase and exchange best practices on energy transition.
During the webinar, LIFE BIOGASNET was presented as a key European project in sustainability and resources management sector developing a new cost-efficient technology for biogas desulfurization based on biological processes and being able to obtain a high-quality biogas. The presentation delivered offered a general overview about the project and its main results obtained, and also a brief explanation of the technology developed.
Additionally, the event included the presentation of other projects funded under the European LIFE Programme such as LIFE-3E, LIFE-myBUILDINGisGREEN, and LIFE ECODIGESTION 2.0, as well as the Horizon RES4CITY project.
The EU Sustainable Energy Week, organised by the European Commission, is the biggest annual event focused on renewable and efficient energy use and comprises a series of activities aimed at building a secure energy future for Europe. The event is open to international organisations, university associations, national and local authorities, professional associations, NGOs working in the field of sustainable development, consumer associations, research organisations, EU-funded projects, EU institutions and more.
