Xavier Gamisans, project coordinator from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), has participated in the 1st annual meeting of the MICRO4BIOGAS which took place from May 24th – 25th in Valencia (Spain) and also via online.
The LIFE BIOGASNET presentation was included in the session “European synergies” aimed at finding common points of cooperation and stimulate future synergies and collaboration activities. During this session, Xavier Gamisans introduced to all attendees the main results of the project, as well as the technology developed and all the relevant concepts.
On the other hand, the session included the presentation of eight other European projects RESTORE, Model2Bio, Making City, ValueWaste, BIKE, WalNUT, REGATRACE, LAURELIN and Biorefine cluster.
The MICRO4BIOGAS project is characterising and selecting the best microbial strains and consortia to optimise biogas production and has the objective to boost the biogas sector in Europe by increasing the yield, speed, quality and reproducibility of biogas production.
