Partners from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), LIFE BIOGASNET’s coordinator, presented the project during the online event “Creating Synergies and Sharing Experiences among Projects in Different Regions” organised by the LIFE ECOdigestion 2.0 project. The event was celebrated as part of the European Week of Regions & Cities last 20th of October.
The event had the purpose to share experiences, create synergies and promote partnerships among projects working in the field of sustainable energy coming from different regions in Europe.
Montserrat Gómez, project manager assistant of LIFE BIOGASNET from the UPC, participated in the session “Sharing experiences on sustainable energy projects across Europe” and introduced the LIFE BIOGASNET as a key European project aiming at demonstrating a new cost-effective and environmental friendly technology for biogas desulfurization based on biological processes.
Additionally, during the session the participants discovered other European project such as ENERBUILD, LIFE-3E, Res4City and LIFE ECOdigestion 2.0. The session also included the participation of representatives from the Brussels Research and Innovation Centre for Green Technologies (BRING).
The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event in which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement EU cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.
