On June 9th, Xavier Gamisans, LIFE BIOGASNET coordinator and professor at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), presented the project during the course “Innovative, Sustainable and Clean Energy”.
The course, developed by the UNESCO chair in Innovative, Sustainable and Clean Energy Research and Education in the framework of the UNITWIN-UNESCO program, had the objective to provide an overview of the different green technologies for clean and innovative energy production, following the most recent international policies.
During the event, Xavier Gamisans presented LIFE BIOGASNET as a key European project developing a new cost-effective and environmentally friendly technology for biogas desulfurization on biological processes, being able to obtain a high-quality biogas and final valuable by-products.
The BETA Technological Centre has the objective to become a relevant actor for the technological development, the improvement of the competitiveness and the quality of life of rural societies. To fulfil its mission the centre promotes the execution of R&D&I projects, as well as the transfer of knowledge to the private and public sector.
