LIFE BIOGASNET partners Carolina Ramirez and David Cubides from Eurecat, have presented the project during the webinar “Present and future of biological gas treatment”, celebrated las 18th of December. The session was organised by the Catalan Water Partnership (CWP), the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and the research group GENOCOV.
During the webinar, Ramirez and Cubides presented LIFE BIOGASNET as a key LIFE-funded European project for boosting the use of biogas as a sustainable energy source, reducing the carbon footprint of the energy cycle and promoting the circular economy concept.

LIFE BIOGASNET project is developing a sustainable, profitable and environmentally friendly biogas purification technology coupling a nitrification bioreactor with either an anoxic gas-phase biotrickling filter or an anoxic bioscrubber.
The webinar also counted with the participation of Aeris Tecnologías Ambientales, partners from the project, together with representatives from the Catalan Water Agency (CWA), the Mediterranean Water Purification association (DAM), the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and the Water Technology Centre – CETAQUA.
