LIFE BIOGASNET project coordinator Xavier Gamisans, from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), has participated in the “LIFE projects networking event: Circular economy of waste, water & soil”, organised by Eurecat and celebrated as an online event on November 25th.
The event had the objective to showcase and share the progress, advances, developments and some results obtained by different projects funded under the LIFE programme of the European Commission. Additionally, the event also included an innovation and networking workshop with the aim to boost networking and facilitate possible collaborations between all the participants.
Xavier Gamisans participated in the session “Waste” of the event and presented LIFE BIOGASNET as a key European project in sustainability and resources management sector which is developing new cost-effective technology for biogas desulfurization based on biological processes, being able to obtain a high-quality biogas. The presentation included a general overview about the project and its main results, and a brief explanation of the technology developed, and some results achieved during this first two years of the project.
This session also included the participation of representatives from 5 more European projects including LIFE SOLIEVA, LIFE INFUSION, LIFE EGGSHELLENCE, LIFE HYPOBRICK and LIFE COMPOLIVE.
On the other hand, the session “Water & Soil” included the presentation of the projects LIFE IBATWHATER, LIFE HIDAQUA, LIFE SPOT, LIFE WAT’SAVEREUSE, LIFE SURFING and LIFE AMIA. The event also counted with the participation of representatives from the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA).
